One of our most inspiring journeys this year has been our exploration of Persian Miniatures. These intricate works, rich in history and symbolism, invite our students to step into a realm where every detail tells a story.

During our discussions on Persian Miniatures, our classrooms come alive with vibrant exchanges of insight and personal connection. Students often draw parallels between the intricate patterns and vivid colors before them and the cherished traditions they hold dear—sometimes recalling family celebrations, other times relating the art to community festivals or personal memories. 

In these moments, art transcends the canvas, becoming a bridge that links individual histories to a broader cultural heritage. It’s this collective engagement and open-hearted sharing that continually fuels our passion for art education.

We also introduce our students to talented, less-famous artists featured on our Diverse Artist List. By exploring these unique artworks, students learn to challenge mainstream narratives and see the world through fresh, diverse perspectives. Our dynamic conversations encourage them not only to appreciate art but also to reflect on how these diverse expressions resonate with their own lives.

Every dialogue in our classrooms builds empathy, sparks creativity, and broadens our students' understanding of the world.
