This holiday season, the magic of creativity filled the air at Doodles Academy’s Drop & Shop Lantern Event. Kids ages 4 to 11 gathered for a day of festive fun, where art and holiday traditions came together to create something truly special.
The event featured multiple craft stations, each designed to spark creativity and individuality. Young artists explored a variety of lantern-making techniques, from crafting with recyclable materials to experimenting with watercolor designs. Glitter enthusiasts let their imaginations shine, while others focused on intricate patterns and geometric shapes. Each lantern told its own story, a reflection of the unique vision and personality of its creator.

But the event wasn’t just about crafting; it was also a chance to learn and connect. We shared stories about the role of lanterns in celebrations around the world, highlighting their symbolism of hope, guidance, and togetherness. These discussions helped kids see their creations as part of a global tradition, sparking curiosity and a sense of belonging.
To cap off the night, each child added a personal wish to their lantern. This simple yet meaningful gesture brought the community together, reminding us all of the shared hopes and dreams that make the holiday season so special. The sight of glowing lanterns adorned with heartfelt wishes was a beautiful and inspiring way to close the event.

At Doodles Academy, we believe that art has the power to bring people together and foster a deeper connection to the world around us. Events like this remind us why we do what we do: to inspire creativity, celebrate diversity, and nurture the imaginative spirits of young minds.
